Ralph Germann Architectes had built a wooden chalet converting the previous Swiss army building. The old structure that was constructed during the Second World War is now already changed into a unique space dominated by wood and the addition of glass cube without changing the ancient wall. There are also some historical former army tracks written on its wall, such as writing states, “charge maximum 1500 kg au m2” which means maximum load 1500 kg/m2.
This Switzerland’s wooden chalet looks like an old and small hut from the outer, yet so contemporary and elegant inside. It is also feels more spacious since there are not many furniture there. With soft pattern of wooden wall separating one room to another and white painted ceiling, the chalet feels calm and comfortable.
Its kitchen is set with white cabinet and contemporary kitchen equipment. Without partition, a wooden dining table completed with four chairs are placed near the kitchen. It is bright there, for the sides of wooden wall are set with glass cube like large windows that allow you to enjoy the outside’s view.
It is also having simple bedrooms with no partition except a high wooden cabinet on a side. The bedrooms are covered in mostly pink and white colours that are suitable with the sweet colour of the wooden substance. Even its bathroom is also painted in pink; furnished by white bidet and washbasin. The colour makes it looks cute and elegant.
There is also a fireplace in the chalet, with two relaxing chairs nearby – where you can sit on and warm yourself. But it is true, that being inside this chalet with the calm interior design and this fireplace will warm you though in outside, the snow is abundant. This chalet is one of the comfortable and warm wooden chalet buildings.
